Medically Assisted Detoxification
Quapaw House is licensed through the Division of Behavioral Health Services to provide Regional Alcohol and Drug Detoxification (RADD) Services. Through the Detoxification Program, we provide evaluations, observation and modified medical detoxification.
These services are facilitated by LPNs, Certified RADD Specialists, trained and certified by the Arkansas Department of Health and supervised by our Medical Director, Dr. William Mizell. All clients in the detoxification program are seen by our Medical Director and strictly monitored for withdrawal symptoms throughout their detoxification.
RADD services include up to five days of residential detoxification, during which clients are evaluated and recommendations are made with regard to a follow-up plan, which always includes suggestion to continue treatment through one of the other treatment modalities available at Quapaw House. Since the detoxification program on the Hot Springs campus is physically adjacent to the adult residential programs, clients are able to gain some exposure to the residential treatment programs while discussing their course of treatment with our medical professionals.
This office is also responsible for coordinating the basic medical care for all residential clients in the adult residential treatment programs also located on the same campus.
